What “pruned” means

A pruned node validates the blockchain while retaining only a limited amount of older block data on disk. Pruning reduces storage use; it does not remove the need to download and validate the chain during an initial sync.

This 240GB configuration is intended for a pruned setup, not full historical block storage or a full Electrum history index. Space must also be reserved for StartOS, the chainstate, and service data. Storage requirements can grow over time.

Getting started

StartOS is preinstalled. You will need power, a network connection, and a computer or phone with a browser to complete setup and manage your server. Plan to configure your Bitcoin node software and allow time for blockchain synchronization.
